  • 1.  auto scan a file uploaded by client through website

I have Symantec Endpoint Protection V11 installed on a Windows Server 2008 SP2 as web server. We are looking for a solution that allows website user upload PDF to our server and send it as attachment through email.

Could someone please help/guide me on how I can achieve file scan in this case? The destination for uploaded PDF is static. Question is can server side script triger the scan on this file once it's been uploaded? and how?

    Thanks.

How about using DoScan. You can call DoScan (Command line scanner) via a script. We are looking at doing something similar as well.

Thank you AravindKM. I see we have File System Auto-Protect --> Enable File System Auto-Protect (All Types) and all other options checked in Antivirus and Antispyware Proetection Settings. So once the file has been written to server, Endpoint will automatically scan it? How would I know if the file is safe? Through log file?
