    Hello,

    What OS are you running the SEP on ?

    What version of SEP are you running?

    The Issue may get Resolved by running the Repair of Symantec Endpoint Protection from the Add / Remove Programs from Control Panel.

    OR

    Follow the Symantec Knowledgebase Article below:

    Event ID 22: "Symantec AntiVirus Auto-Protect failed to load"

    ...this is SAV for Macintosh and you're using OS X 10.6 in 64-bit kernel mode:

    Compatibility with Symantec AntiVirus for Macintosh 10.x and Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard
    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH95628

    Specifically:

    Please note regarding 64-bit support:

    Symantec Antivirus for Macintosh 10.2.3 does support 32- and 64-bit processors and will operate in the default 32 bit kernel mode in Mac OS X 10.6.x, Snow Leopard; 64-bit kernel mode is not supported with Symantec Antivirus for Macintosh and Symantec recommends using 32-bit kernel mode when installing and using Symantec Antivirus for Macintosh. For systems that boot into 64-bit kernel mode we recommend users migrate to Symantec Endpoint Protection for Macintosh.

    Hello,

    Incase of versions SAV 8 and SAV 9;

    Symantec Antivirus 8.0 reached its End of Support Life as of November 30, 2005 and Symantec Antivirus 8.1 reached its End of Support Life as of January 31, 2007, as defined in the Symantec Enterprise Technical Support Policy. Therefore virus definition updates are no longer supported for this product.

    Symantec Antivirus 9.x will reach its End of Standard Support as of March 31, 2009. Virus definition updates for version 9.x will be discontinued on April 1, 2009. Please contact your account manager or reseller for information about our current shipping versions.

    SAV 10 is almost at the End of its Life.

    I would say, this is the right Time for you to upgrade to SEP 11 or SEP 12.1 (Which may be Releasing this Year)
