while the definition is being updated the SEP autoprotect drivers did not start hence it is disabled, with run running intelligent updater the issue will get fixed.

    Hello,

The Error means that Registration of the virus databases failed (OR) Auto protect Drivers disabled

This error occurs because the virus engine and/or definition files are unable to load because they are mismatched, damaged or corrupted

To correct the problem, download and run the Intelligent Updater:

Symantec AntiVirus or Symantec Client Security 10.x: Updating virus definitions for Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 10.x and Symantec Client Security 3.x

Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.xHow to update definitions for Symantec Endpoint Protection using the Intelligent Updater

    and Reboot the machine.

    Hope that helps!
