  • 1.  Application Error after installing sep12 ru1 on dell latitude D620 - D630

    After upgrading to SEP 12.1 RU1, every application launched on Dell latitude D620 - D630 laptops crashes.

    Does anyone had this problem before? i have 20 laptops and users are not able to work.

    open support case.

    does installing only AV component too have this issue?

    What are the components of SEP installed?

    Try installing only AV and AVS and see if that help.

    Can you please give the details of the error?

     boot to Safe Mode

    - from Add Remove Program uninstall SEP
    - reboot to complete
     
    - in SEPM create new installation package with the settings : Basic Server Protection / Basic Content
    - install this package

    Done this but still the same issue. I'm reverting back to 12.1.671.4971 which was working correctly before.

    Hello,

    Try Updating the Dell drivers 

    OR / AND

    Try Uninstalling Dell Embassey Trust Suite.

    I would suggest you to Open a Case with Symantec Technical Support and be ready with the Full memory dump.

    You would have to call symantec or log a web case.

    Remove the Application and Device Control component.

    Had the same issue here and this resolved it.
