  • 1.  APIs for ServiceDesk 7.5 and other Altiris Solutions (ITMS)

    Hello All,

    Not sure if this a possibility, however, I have been asked to provide access (read only) to the APIs and its documentation of ServiceDesk 7.5 and other Altiris Solutions (complete ITMS) which our development team would in turn use to integrate their respective application to Service Desk and Altiris Solutions. The goal of this activity is to get access to the ServiceDesk application database. 

    I had provided an approach of generating a workflow to collect that data and push it to a shared location in a form of csv or xml, however, Management denied the approach and had requested access to APIs.

    I am not sure from where do we get that.

    Kindly share some ideas / thoughts / leads / guidance on this.

    Review the ASDK help file (found within the Symantec start menu) as it contains the URL's for the exposed web services.

    Hello SK,

    Thanks for the reply.

    I did found the ASDK help file and reviewed the same, however, it says that APIs are available only for the list below:

    Notification Server
    Task Server
    Software Delivery Solution
    Symantec Management Agent

    Is there any other place to check for ServiceDesk APIs.

    I am glad that the ASDK has helped with most of the products.

    I have quickly reviewed the SD implementation guide and could not find anything there, so your best best would be to pose your SD API question in the SD forum.
