    There are 2 Products in Symantec Endpoin Protection.

    Symantec Endpoin Protection version 11.x

    Symantec Endpoin Protection version 12.x

    The Current version of Symantec Endpoin Protection in version 11.x is version 11.0.7101 (RU7 MP2)

    Whereas in Symantec Endpoin Protection in version 12.x is version SEP 12.1 RU1 MP1

    Please click on the URL link below to register for the email bulletin service (new product release):

    Hello Happy,

    In order to migrate to SEP12.1 version you would need to contact licensing team to upgrade your account however you can directly upgrade to RU7 MP2 (11.0.7200) version.

    Hi happy_blaze,

    You are using 11.0.6005.562 i.e RU6a

    You have two options for latest upgrade i.e

    RU6a --> RU7 MP2

    OR

    RU6a --> SEP 12.1 RU1 --> SEP 12.1 RU1 MP1

    SEP 11.0.7200.1147 i.e RU7 MP2 & SEP 12.1 RU1 MP1 are the two latest available versions.

    Check till releases: http://bit.ly/m0vOJp

    If you wish to upgrade SEP 12.1 RU1 MP1 then it's necessary to know the difference between SEP 11.x and SEP 12.1

    In my opinion, Mac does not require an Anti Virus.Why would Apple sell a consumer friendly device which was unsafe unless you went out and installed third party software? https://www.apple.com/macos/security/.

    The vast majority of malware out there is in the form of Windows executables which will not run on the Mac. There are purpose-made forms of Mac Malware but most users don't encounter it. There are no true viruses for the Mac in the wild.All Macs have a set of inbuilt malware protections. These include XProtect which is the internal malware scanner.
    The Mac will not routinely run software downloaded from the internet. The default setting requires all apps to be signed by a trusted source. If you only get software from the Mac App Store, these apps are not only pre-vetted for safety, but also include sandboxing internal walls which prevent malware from exploiting any weakness in the software.
    Anyone concerned about malware on the Mac should be aware that all recent attacks have been associated with Adobe Flash and Java. The Mac does not ship with them installed. Installing them is a bad idea.
