  • 1.  Altiris Agents not installing on computers connecting via VPN

    Hi,

    We recently got Altiris 7.1 installed and rolled out the agents. The problem that I noticed is that the Agents are not being installed on the computers connected via VPN. I was thinking of a "Pull" Agent install from the client might resolve this issue but dont know how to go about accomplishing this.

    Hello,

    It seems that your VPN don't authorize the mechanism you have implemented to deploy the agent.

    Try to install the agent on on a VPN computer using this step:

    1 - Log in using an account with administratives rights

    2- Launch Internet Explorer

    3 - Go to : HTTP://YourNSServer/Altiris/NS/Agent/AltirisAgentDownload.aspx (replace with your NS Server name)

    4- Follow instructions to install agent using pull method.

    Hi Stéphane,

    Thanks, the "Pull" method works from the client side ( connected via VPN). It requires admin rights though so am trying to see if we could send the link by GPO and have it run automatically as soon as the user logs in.
