what hardware specifications has your SEPM server....

SEPM hardware should only matter if the issue is occurring with the SEP client on the SEPM server.

    • Is this the latest verison, 12.1.1000?
    • Which components/protection technologies are installed?
    • Does the computer meet minimim system requirements with regards to RAM and hard drive space? If you are not sure, use the Support Tool and to a pre-install check.
    • Are the directories you're trying to open on the local computer, or mapped to a network drive?
    • Is there a specific process that is using a lot of CPU while this is occurring?

These questions may steer you in the correct direction.

also on your sepm server start performance monitor, and have a look...

    why it is becoming slow

you have to check it on SEPM server, i think there is installed Windows OS,

if yes, you have to enter in Computer Management then Performance and there is Monitoring tools, there you can see in real time what is loading your system, but at first you have to choose counters...

also, you can monitor Resource Monitor, it is usefull tool as well

Again, I don't think looking on the SEPM is going to help you much in determining why a SEP client is having slowness post-installation. You really have to look on the client, unless the files they're accessing happen to reside across the network on the SEPM server.

If you're not seeing a high-CPU process in the Task Manager, have a look in the Windows event log to see if Tamper Protection is triggering and if so, which executable is the "actor process".
