  • 1.  Adding Files to the WinPE Image DS 7.1

    I can't seem to find this info, so if this question has been answered, I apologize.

    I want to include my own files in the WinPE image, so when Bootwiz recreates the PXE environment, my files are included on the X: Drive.

    I want to run scripts on the X: Drive by calling them from the startup.bat file, so they are automatically run when the PC PXE boots.

    Is there a folder I can drop files in that will be included in the image?

    You can add files to a winpe image here:

     

    InstalledDrive:\Program Files\Altiris\Altiris Agent\Agents\Deployment\Task Handler\bootwiz\oem\DS\winpe2\x86\Base

    I believe you can modify the runagent.bat file to add custom commands. After that you rebuild your winpe image and your new files will be included.
