I have using this tool but have a question please.

svchosts is burning around 90% of my CPU

I use this tool to see what processes are running under this particular svchosts PID sesstion. I can see several applications listed all of which are "active" and have a green tick.

However it does not show me which application or applications listed it the one/s responsible for burning the CPU time, which is what I am interested in.

Am I missing some thing? or does this utility not show the individual CPU time taken up by each of the processes listed under the svchosts process

Thanks

AFAIK the tool does not make any changes to your system. It just inspects and queries your system registry and operating systems on the various processes running and summarizes you the same.

i was just wondering if the tool has features to unload DLLs I don't require and/or stop services that are unnecessarily hogging on memory. Any help or pointers please?

I am getting this error on Windows XP too. I am logged on as administrator. At least in Windows Vista onwards we would need to ensure 'Run as administrator' manually even from the admin account. What is the workaround for Windows XP?

Thanks for this tool. I used to wonder what is causing my system svchost.exe to gobble up such high amounts of memory and CPU cycles without any clue. Now armed with this tool, I can precisely zero down on the culprit-application.
