Mobile Inventory History Delta tables are getting filled with not used data which results a noticeable growth of Symantec CMDB, as well Controlling "Keep History Duration" is not user editable.

This is a non official PointFix which will Stop populating data to Mobile History Delta tables, truncates the tables and Enable Mobile inventory purging to be user editable.

At the moment it's a best practice to Disable populating data to Mobile History Delta tables, this issue will be addressed in SMP 7.5.

How to use:

1- Just run the attachment on Symantec Management Platform server as a local administrator.

2- Modify "Keep History Duration" according to your needs (For Mobile Inventory History tables. For  Mobile Inventory History DELTA tables will be no longer filled)

A) Open Symantec Management Console, Settings > All Settings,  Settings > Notification Server > Resource and Data Class Settings > "Resource History".

B) Scroll down in "Resource Data History" tab to "Mobile Inventory".

C) Adjust "Keep History Duration" per Data Class according to the desired purging plan.

N.B.:

1. Implementing the Point Fix will truncate (Delete) Mobile Inventory history DELTA data.
2. You don't need to run the point fix again, just running one is enough, however running again will not cause any damage.
3. If you have used the previous Point Fix which allows Mobile History delta tables purge, this one fix will detect and remove it.
