The SEPM console offers great reporting features. I commonly look at the virus definition disribution report to determine how many of my clients have updated to the most current definition. My colleage and I created a excel spread to track the perentage of clients that updated in 24 hours, 48 hours, and so on. Zero day protection is extremely important to our organization, and our seniors like to see the level or protection offered by SEP11. We generate the following reports using the excel spreadsheet attached to this article. Feel free to use the spreadsheet and customize it to your liking. I've zeroed out the data. To use the spreadsheet generate a "virus definition distribution report" by doing the following 1) log into SEPM 2) Go to reports page 3) Select computer status and virus definition distribution will pop up 3) Generate report for Group you want information on. Copy the following information from the reports (Definition Date Revision, version inserted at, number of computers, percentage) and paste between columns A-E of the spreadsheet and your data will be interpretted. :
Hello,
Thanks for this spreedsheat, but how could it be possible to copy/paste an .mht file into a spreadsheet ?
In Reports / Quick Report / Computer Status / Virus definition distribution, the option to create the report give an mht file not a txt or csv one.
Thanks for your further help
Thanks for creating this,
It looks like it will assist me in keeping more acurate track of the virus defs on our network.
I see a bunch (xml) of files when downloading, but not a single spreadsheet file. Would you be able to upload it in Excel 2003 format?
Thanks,
Coen.
I'm glad It could be of use to you.
