Nov 28, 2011 02:10 PM

Deployment Solution 7.x supported token list has been a frequently asked question so far. So I thought to consolidate all those and post it as a single point of reference to help all those who are looking for this information.

Following is the list of all tokens which can be used in a task (Like can be used in Apply System Configuration Task, Personality Capture Task, Imaging Task etc with understanding of its feasibility ):

1.       %AGENTIPADDR%-The IP address of the NIC of the client computer connected to TS

2.       %COMPNAME%-Actual Computer name used by the OS

3.       %CUSTOMETOKEN% - Can be created from SQL based on requirement

4.       %DATE%-Date string in the form mm/dd/yyyy

5.       %DOMAIN%-MS Workgroup or Domain Name

6.       %DOMAINOU%-Domain Organization Units

7.       %IPNAME%-Full DNS Name of the computer

8.       %NAME%-Complete Computer Name as displayed in the console

9.       %OS%-Specific Operating System

10.     %SERIALNUMBER%- Serial Number from a OEM hardware (May not be there for assembled machines and Not applicable for VM clients)

11.     %USER_NAME%-The 'Registered To' user name that can be viewed on the systems properties page of Windows

12.   %UUID%-The Universally Unique Identifier of the computer, if supported by hardware.

Another list of tokens are to be used only in unattended files ( Mainly for Scripted OS installation, Imaging):

1.       @timezone

2.       @userName

3.       @domainou

4.       @compName

5.       @license

6.       @tcpIP

13.   @identification

14.   @NetCardAddress

15.   @AutoMode

16.   @AutoUsers

Generic/common tokens for Symantec Management Platform are at Symantec Management Console > Settings > All Settings > Notification Server> Task Settings.

An article with hope of being helpful for someone, sometime in case of desperate need. smiley

Vaibhav,

Is there any more detail regarding the last list of tokens, i.e. @timezone, and how to get them to work in a token replacement vbscript in 7.1?

Thanks,

Ladd Russell
