Hi Ludovic,

Thank you for the review comments.

For point 1, we are trying to incorporate the flowcharts along with the hyperlinks in this Connect article. This seems to be a bit of a problem right now. Will work on this, and keep you posted on the updates.

For point 2, I've made the changes in table 2 of page 5.

Thank you!

Very interesting article, thanks for that.

I have a couple of notes however:

1) I know it's not always easy but providing the article content inside the Connect web-page is really much nicer for the users. I personally am a Free and Open Source Software advocate and forcing our users to download a file to read it out of the site is something that I think is unecessary.

2) There's an important correction to add to your document:

Page 5, table 2 reads: "Certificate is obtained by obtaining the private key from the commercial certification authority."

This is not correct. The process of obtaining an X509 Certificate from a CA such as GeoTrust, Symantec or else is to create a private key on a secure system (at the customer / user location) and to generate a Certificate Signing Request [1] and then send it to the CA.

The CA will then verify that you are entitled to create a certificate for the requested CN and generate the Public Key and make it available to you.

A private key should never ever be sent out to a public CA. Some offer to generate the private key for you but this is bad practice.
