Issue: Attempts to install Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) on a computer with the Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit Operating System fail.  The error message indicates that install is not allowed on Windows XP Home edition.

Error: When Installing Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit Operating System, receiving error as below:

Details: Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager is not supported on Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (build 7601).

Cause: Due to inherent limitations in the OS, the SEPM should not be installed on a "Home Premium" release of Windows 7.

Solution: Administrators should treat this as a "known issue."  The SEPM should be installed on a suitable platform.
